HOT BLAST VALVES

HOT BLAST VALVES

The VCL Hot Blast Valve is used to seal high temperature gas safely. It is mainly installed in the iron and steel industry, to seal the hot air coming from the hot stove unit to the blast furnace. A maximum thermal insulation between Hot Blast and the outside of the valve is achieved by a combination of a patented insulation material and refractory lining.  This system saves a lot of energy due to reduced water cooling and at the same time enlarges the valve life time due to reduced heat loads and stresses. Seat and valve plate are cooled by water. The inner cooling water channels are engineered and optimized over the years of VCL’s experience to be as efficient as possible.
