GLOBAL VALVE MANUFACTURER
VCL S.A., a member of the SAB Group, is a Luxembourg-based competence center for all types of special valves for the steelmaking industry, the gas/oil industry, and the glass industry. This includes, among others, wedge gate valves, regulation valves, hot blast valves, goggle valves, lever valves, double eccentric valves, equalizing valves, bleeder valves and dust discharge valves.
SAB is an engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in the in-house production of a wide variety of valves.
The portfolio of VCL – Valve Competence Luxembourg also includes energy-saving tuyere stocks with an advanced and patented design. Our activities cover the entire process: from engineering and manufacturing to assembly and commissioning. In addition, VCL focusses on the after-sales market and offers comprehensive repair and service solutions to ensure the long-term performance and reliability of our products.

VCL India
To enhance communication, minimize delays and boost customer satisfaction across India, “VCL India Pvt. Ltd” was founded, situated in Gurgaon. To better serve our customers, we have established a network of partner workshops on both the East and West coasts, ensuring we are always close to the operations.
VCL Taiwan
In 2023, we opened a new branch office in Taiwan to better serve our customers in the Asia-Pacific region. This move strengthens our presence in a dynamic market and continues our commitment to providing service and support to our international customers.

To expand our portfolio, our business unit “Glass” launched in 2020. “VCL Deutschland GmbH” was founded for this purpose. The dedicated team of the Glass division is based in Düren, Germany, and focuses on the development of innovative solutions for the glass industry.
Foundation
Establishment of a 50/50 joint venture company called VCL-Valve Competence Luxembourg S.A. with Paul Wurth S.A.
Mario Kratz co-founded the joint venture as Managing Director to leverage the potential of his company, SAB S.à r.l. His leadership aims to enhance collaboration and drive growth within the partnership.
