BLEEDER VALVES

BLEEDER VALVES

The VCL Bleeder Valve is a blast furnace top valve with the safety function to avoid over pressure inside the furnace. Due to different emergency or operational reasons, the furnace top pressure can fluctuate and raise higher than the maximum allowed Top pressure. The Bleeder Valves is the Blast Furnace safety component ensuring that overpressure will be released automatically to the atmosphere and is preventing the furnace from bigger damages up- or downstream. Usually there are 2-3 Bleeder Valves installed on top of the uptakes (raw-gas) and 1 after semi gas cleaning.
